Traumatic Brain Injury Utilizing Advanced Biotechnology

  • Do you suffer from brain fog?

  • Is your memory not what it used to be?

  • Do you have migraines and headaches that you did not have before an injury?

In fact, many people don’t think an injury they had was that bad, but it did affect your brain. People learn to accept these things and carry on, not knowing that there is a way to improve it. Starting with a qEEG, or brain map, we can see areas that may have been affected by a traumatic brain injury. This is not a diagnostic tool, but aids in seeing how the brain have coped with the injury. In a migraine we often see the alpha band slower than we expect it to be in areas over either word processing or social perception. For head injuries it changes over time, but can often be slow delta waves, which indicates white matter damage. Through neuromodulation and retraining relaxed breathing, a person can increase their blood flow gently to that area and start to stimulate that region of the brain working optimally again. The qEEG can also be a great way for those in sports to start with a baseline of where your brain is, then after a head injury you can track the process to see when you are ready to get back out on the field.
